Visiting Baby Jiaxuan

Mummy is back at TMC. She is there to visit Aunt Ruting & baby Jiaxuan. While there, Mrs Wong came by to show Aunt Ruting how to breastfeed Jiaxuan. Mummy visited for a while and shortly so that Aunt Ruting can get her rest.

With baby Jiaxuan included, we have visited 4 babies, they are baby Kylie, baby Denise, baby Daryl & baby Jiaxuan. All the babies look real cute. I wonder if I'll look as cute when I am born.

Visiting Baby Daryl

Today, Mummy -with me in her tummy too- is off to Mount Alvenia to visit Aunt Yvonne & baby Daryl. Baby Daryl is a heavy weight baby. He weighs 3.9kgs at birth.

After visiting for a while, it was time to go, so that Aunt Yvonne can get her rest.

Baby Daryl's Birth

Today, Mummy did not see Aunt Yvonne online on msn. She wondered if Aunt Yvonne has popped.

Later, Mummy received an sms from Aunt Yvonne, announcing baby Daryl's birth!

9th Month of Pregnancy

Mummy is now 36 weeks pregnant, and Mummy & Daddy are back at Dr Lim's clinic for my checkup. During the ultrasound, it is seen that at 9 months, I am still breeched! Dr Lim mentioned again the possibility of a delivery by ceasarean. I know Mummy is hoping for a natural delivery. But it is likely that she is going to be disappointed. This is because I am very comfortable resting on my butt. By now, Mummy has gained 7.8kgs. As Mummy is already 36 weeks, going forward, we will be seeing Dr Lim weekly until I am born. So until next week then, see ya again!

Lunch with Aunt Yvonne

Mummy met Aunt Yvonne for lunch. It was an ad hoc arrangment to meet. They were both on msn in the morning and decided to meet for lunch. Mummy arranged to meet Aunt Yvonne at Takashimaya Shopping Centre. They had lunch at the Pasta Cafe there.

After lunch, they went to the baby section at Takashimaya Department Store. The staff there told them that there would be a nursery fair coming up. But after looking at Mummy and Aunt Yvonne, she told Aunt Yvonne....that is if she can wait. This is because Aunt Yvonne looked like she was going to pop any moment. Whereas Mummy, though she is 8+ months pregnant, she looks like a 5 or 6 month pregnant lady instead. So Mummy & Aunt Yvonne decided to wait for the nursery fair and not buy anything.

They then decided to go to Robinsons @Centrepoint. They went to both Robinsons and Mothercare at Centrepoint. Pretty soon, they felt tired and decided to have a tea break at Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. After finishing their tea break, Uncle Kelvin came to pick Aunt Yvonne up from Centrepoint, and mummy headed home too.

The Doctor's Talk From the Parent Craft Class

As part of the Parent Craft class, we get to attend a doctor's talk. The doctor's talk was held at Singapore Chinese Girls School -SCGS-. The 1st part of the talk was about the different birthing process, natural versus ceasarean. After the 1st part was over, there was a short break before the 2nd part started. While waiting for the 2nd part to begin, we saw Aunt Christina & Uncle Kay Jin. They were leaving as they have checked and confirmed the 2nd part of the talk to be about anesthesia to be used for the birth.

Since 2nd part of the talk was about anesthesia, Daddy & Mummy decided to leave early as well. When they got to the car park, they saw Uncle Jay Jin & Aunt Christina. Their car was partially blocked by another car and they couldn't get their car out of the car park lot to leave. Mummy checked out the space available and decided that it is possible for the car to get out, just that it requires a lot of manoeuvering. Hence Daddy & Mummy ended up helping to direct Uncle Kay Jin's car, with Mummy behind and Daddy in front. After lots of manoeuvering by Uncle Kay Jin, with Daddy's & Mummy's help, the car was finally free. And everyone left SCGS and headed home.

5th & Last Parent Craft Class at TMC

We will be attending the last parent craft class today. Next week it will be a doctor's talk instead. Before class started, Mummy popped by to visit Aunt Maureen & baby Denise, who was born Aug16, 2005. While there, we saw Aunt Christina too. After visiting, Mummy went back to Delifrance to have dinner with Daddy.

This week's class is still on caring for the new born baby and revisions from the previous weeks. As usual, time flies, and soon it was the end of class. And we would not be meeting Chloe, Aunt Christina & Uncle Kay Jin every week, since classes are over.

Where else are we at? The Gynae's Office Again!

As the title says, so we are back at Dr Lim's clinic. Mummy & Daddy get to meet with me again. And I am now 34 weeks. Mummy has put on a total of 7.6kgs by this time. Dr Lim says that Mummy has fulfilled the minimum weight gain requirement. And he says that any more additional weight gain would be a bonus. When Dr Lim did the ultrasound scan, on the scan, it shows that I am still head up. By now, Mummy is getting a bit worried that I may not turn head down. Mummy is hoping for a natural delivery, but if I do not cooperate, she may have to opt for a ceasarean instead. Dr Lim told Mummy that by this time, if I do not turn, I may not turn head down at all. But Mummy is still hopeful that I may decide to cooperate later. So Dr Lim tells Mummy to come back 2 weeks later again where he will check if I have turned or not.

4th Parent Craft Class

We are back to Thomson Medical Centre for the 4th Parent Craft Class. Today, we have moved onto how to take care of me. Before the class started, Mummy received a call from our housing agent Mark. It is regarding their Millpoint apartment. Mark had obtained a buyer for the apartment. As Daddy & Mummy needs to attend class, Mark arranged for Daddy & Mummy to meet the buyer to conclude the sale after the class. We are attending class today with Chloe with Aunt Christina & Uncle Kay Jin, Megan with Aunt Angel & Uncle Herbert. The daddies & mummies were shown how to make formula milk, how to wash the bottles, how to wash their hands clean, how to change my diaper and how to bathe the babies.

After Mrs Wong's demonstration, it was time for the hands-on for all the daddies & mummies. Pretty soon, class is over and Mummy & Daddy had to hurry off to Novena Square to meet Mark & Jason -the buyer-. We got there and met them at Starbucks. After signing the option & getting the cheque from Jason, the sale was concluded and Daddy & Mummy had to wait 2 weeks for Jason to exercise the option.

3rd Parent Craft Class

Daddy & Mummy are back at Thomson Medical Centre for the 3rd parent craft class. Daddy & Mummy hurried to class and realized that Mrs Wong is showing a video on the birthing process.Then it was on to introducing the different types of anesthesia. After that, the mummies practise their breathing exercises again and the daddies practised their massaging techniques on the mummies.
