2nd Day of Chinese New Year

It's the 2nd Day of Chinese New Year. I am dressed in my finery again.

We are off to Gong Gong's & Por Por's house for lunch & to 'pai nien'. As I'm too young, I did not get to eat any of the food! But after that I get my ang baos from Gong Gong, Por Por, Aunt Christine & Uncle Ben. After that, it is time to head home.

My 1st Chinese New Year Celebration

This can only happen one time. My 1st Chinese New Year Celebration. Next year, it will no longer be my 1st.

I woke up in a strange bed, as we are at Ye Ye's & Mar Mar's house. Mummy dresses me up in my red dress with chinese buttons. She is dressed in a white blouse with pink skirt. Daddy wears his new shirt too, & we are all ready to go 'pai nien'. Mummy has taught me how to put my hands together to shake it to mean 'gong xi gong xi'. Sometimes I remember to do this, but sometimes I forget.

We 'pai nien' 1st with Ye Ye & Mar Mar. After this, Mummy packs our bags as we are going to stop by at Ah Tai's house to 'pai nien', then we are homeward bound. We stop by at Ah Tai's house, where I get more ang baos. After that, it is time to head home. Daddy drives, while Mummy companies me at the back seat. I feel tired & pretty soon I'm fast asleep. I sleep most of the way home.

I'm glad to be home again. I can relax on the sofa. Por Por misses me, so she comes over to visit me too.

And that's how I spent my 1st Chinese New Year.

Chinese New Year Eve

Mummy is busy packing today. It's Chinese New Year eve & we are off to Kluang to have reunion dinner with Daddy's relatives. While she is packing, I will just laze around on the sofa & wait for the time to set off.

We set off around 10+am & reach Kluang in time for lunch. As usual, we will stay at Ye Ye's & Mar Mar's house. After lunch, we rested before heading over to Ah Tai's house for dinner. Before dinner, Grandaunt YY carried me while Ah Tai looked on. After dinner, I was cranky as it is very hot at Ah Tai's house & I was sleepy & couldn't sleep. Later, Mummy brought me into Uncle Collin's room which is air-conditioned. I managed to take a short nap.

But I was very glad to be back at Ye Ye's & Mar Mar's house, where it is not as hot. I took a bath to cool down & then it was time for bed in the cool air-conditioned room.

Babies Gathering @Aunt Angeline's House

There is a babies gathering today at Aunt Angeline's House in the afternoon. Mummy & I are bringing ice cream to the gathering. We arrived there early & Mummy & Aunt Angeline talked while waiting for the other mummies to arrive. Soon, everyone was here. We all had a lovely time playing & interacting.

Sunday

It's Sunday! I wake up early, but it's not time to go to church yet. So Daddy lets me play on my play gym.

Times passes quickly when you're having fun! And it's time for me to get changed to go to church.

After church, we have lunch & do a bit of grocery shopping and it's homeward bound.

When I get home, Mummy lets me play on my bumpermat. I attempt to lift my head.

This is tiring stuff. I can't keep my head up!

Let me turn my head to a side & rest 1st, so that I won't be tasting bumpermat. Help me, please. I think I'm stuck!

Okay, I give up for now! Lying down is still the easiest & most comfortable position for me.

As Mummy is afraid that my little eyes will be hurt by the bright flash from the camera, hence, she does not allow anyone to take photos of me with flash. That's why my night shots all look dark!

From Morning to Night

My looks from morning to night. My pictures start of bright & sunny to dark & moony! Hee!

Changing Mat

Mummy always changes me on the changing mat. Why? Because she is afraid that while changing me, I may poo or pee & create a big mess. It would be easier to clean the changing mat.

Buddy Pals

Daddy says I have buddy pals. They are 2 monkeys, 1 bear & 1 orang-utan. However, Mummy disagrees with Daddy. Hence, I wonder who is right?

I take a break from them to take my bath. I like to be clean! But now as I can lift my head up, Mummy places a air pillow to cushion my head for a soft landing on my bath stand.

2nd 5in1 Vaccination

I am back at Dr Steven's clinic today. I'm here for my 2nd 5in1 vaccination shot. As of today, I am 6.7kgs, 61.3cm & have a head circumference of 42cm.

When it was my turn to see the doctor, I go into the room & I recognized that this is the room where I was jabbed. So I start to fuss even before I am jabbed. Mummy comforted me & then I was held down & jabbed!!! I protested very loudly of course. I soon calmed down when Mummy comforted me. Mummy asked the doctor some questions about my development.

Then it was time to go. I was very glad to leave!

Babies Gathering @Aunt Adel's House

I woke up this morning feeling good. This is because Mummy has told me that there'll be a babies gathering today. I'll be able to meet my baby pals! But as the gathering is in the afternoon, I still play as usual in the morning, until it is time for me to get changed for the gathering.

We make our way to Marine Terrace where Aunt Adel stays. We meet many mummies & babies there. I enjoyed myself & soon it was time to leave. I was so tired after all the excitement that I slept all the way home.
