Invite a Friend

My little gym class today allows me to invite a friend to join me in class. Hence, Mummy asks Daryl's Mummy if Daryl can come to play. Daryl's Mummy says yes. Hence, today I am in class with Daryl. However, as Daryl is initially not used to the class, he gets upset & only settle down half way through the class. Daddy takes 2 pictures of me with his phone camera. Here they are.

I'm trying to do a forward roll with Daryl watching in the background

Let's do some jumping on the balancing beam

After class is over, we go to Modestos at Orchard Parade Hotel for dinner.

Daddy!! Don't hog my lime light!

Nicole & Ernie

Mummy bought me an Ernie who can do the hokey pokey. When I was smaller, I used to be afraid of Ernie. I didn't even want Ernie to be sharing the same floor space as me. But now that I am bigger & Ernie is much smaller than me.....muahahahaha!!

Recovery from Jet Lag

Today is the 3rd day that I am back from Glasgow. Daddy & Mummy have been suffering every night, as I will sleep at 9.30pm, wake up at 2am & fuss until 3-5am before I go back to sleep again. I have been doing that for the last 3 nights. Mummy says there is improvement as my fussing time is getting shorter.

Despite my jet lag, I look none the worse from it, as can be seen from my pictures.

Flight Day - From Glasgow to Singapore via London

It is flight day again. We leave Glasgow at 3pm to catch our flight to London. As this time Mummy is mentally prepared about not getting any help from British Midland, she is prepared to tough it out until she gets to the Singapore Airlines counter.

We reach London Heathrow & make our way from Terminal 1 to the Singapore Airlines counter at Terminal 3. From there, we get assistance with our hand carry luggage. As there wasn't much time left, we made our way directly to the gate. After reaching the gate shortly, it was time to board our flight. Our flight back to Singapore is at 6+pm London time.

Once we are on the flight, Mummy is relieved. Hee. As she is worried that something may crop up in between. We will be 12 hours on the plane & will reach Singapore tomorrow at 2pm. Daddy will be at the airport to meet us. I am looking forward to seeing Daddy as I haven't seen him for a week. Until Singapore then, adious.

Berry Picking

It is bright & sunny today. Granduncle Victor brings Por Por, Mummy & I to pluck strawberries. The farm where we went does not only have strawberries only, it has black & red currants, gooseberries, raspberries, pea pods & broccoli. We plucked strawberries, raspberries, some gooseberries & pea pods. I got to try some strawberries & raspberries. I like the raspberries as they are sweet. Although the strawberries are sweet too, I didn't like them as much.

4th Day in Glasgow

Mummy finally takes a video of me & some picture of me with my Uncle Bryan & my Grandaunt Linda today. Why is that so?? This is because Mummy is suffering from a lack of sleep, eversince she got to Glasgow. Why does Mummy not have enough sleep?? This is because I normally end up sleeping around 8-8.30pm at night. But as the Siew family has a late dinner, around this time, Mummy will have a late dinner & end up sleeping around 11.30pm - 12 midnight. However, as the room has only day curtains & it starts to get bright around 4-5am. I will wake up around that time too. Hence, poor Mummy is only sleeping from 11.30pm-12 midnight to 4-5am, which is only 4-5 hours, every night.

Here is a video of me. I am playing with my new toy. It is a small plastic tuperware with some dried penne pasta inside.

By the way, the high chair that I am in, Mummy purposely went to Ikea to buy the high chair for me.

Here are the pictures.

Nightmare @ Heathrow Airport

Mummy & I arrive at Heathrow Terminal 3. As Mummy has arranged for Meet & Assist Service, our hand carry bags are carried by an uncle who meet us at the plane entrance. He then brings us to the British Midland flight counter where he tells Mummy that she will have to arrange for assistance for the next leg of the journey from them. When Mummy enquires at the counter, she is told that assistance is only rendered to handicapped personnels, and Mummies with babies do not qualify for assistance. Upon asking further if something could be done, the counter staff tells Mummy that she should travel light since she is travelling with a baby & ends off by telling Mummy that he feels for her but there is nothing he can do.

As the grim fact sinks in & Mummy realizes that she had to get to Terminal 1 with me, a pram, a laptop, 2 hand carry bags & no assistances, she almost wants to give up & go home. But home is 12 hours' flight away. Being a practical person, Mummy realizes that it is riduculous to fly 12 hours to London & then fly 12 hours back to Singapore again. Thank God, Mummy had travelled with her trusty ergo carrier. Hence, she puts me into the carrier, dump the 2 hand carry bags onto the pram, & ends up pushing the pram with 1 hand & carrying the laptop with the other hand. Isn't my Mummy amazing??

We queue & pass through a security check, & then take the bus to Terminal 1. When we get to Terminal 1, all the passengers in the bus take the stairs as the escalalor is under repair. Mummy waits for the lift to go up to the domestic terminal. When the lift arrives, there is something wrong with the lift & the lift door wouldn't close. Mummy tries to exit the building but the automatic doors only has sensors on the outside of the building and wouldn't open from the inside. She tries looking for an intercom/phone to get assistance, but am unable to find one. She doesn't dare to leave me alone in a foreign place, to go look for help upstairs. Hence, she waits for the next bus to come.

Another bus arrives, but only with a driver & no passengers. Mummy waves madly to catch the driver's attention. Thank God the driver saw Mummy & comes forward to render help. He speaks with the staff & end up, we get into the lift, for people to take down to leave the domestic terminal, and make our way up to the domestic terminal. Mummy is so relieved to finally reach the domestic terminal.

We locate the British Midland counter to get our ticket. After that, Mummy packs the remainder things, that she thinks we do not need for this short trip, into one of the hand carry bags & checks it in. Now we travel lighter & poor Mummy do not need to carry so many bags. We wait in the lounge until the time of the flight. When Mummy & I finally board the flight, Mummy heaves a sigh of relief that we are finally on our way to Glasgow, Scotland.

We reach Glasgow & exit the plane. We reach the baggage retrieval area & see Por Por, Granduncle Victor & Grandaunt Linda. They are here to meet us. After we retrieve our luggage, we get in the car & make our way to Old Castle Road. Mummy is so relieved that her nightmare is over.

Flying - From Singapore to Glasgow, Scotland

Mummy wakes up real early today at 6am to get ready & finish packing some last minute things into the suitcases. When I wake, she changes me too. Then we are off to the airport at 7am. Where are we off to?? We are off to Glasgow, Scotland to visit my Grandaunt Linda. She is striken with leukemia & so she is unable to come to Singapore to see me. Hence, Mummy's going to bring me to Glasgow to visit her instead.

Daddy drop us off at the airport at 7.40am & he goes off to work. Mummy & I make use of the porter service to get our bags to the check-in belt. As Mummy has arranged for meet & assist from Singapore Airlines, after check-in, we waited for someone to come assist us with our hand carry luggage. It is a long flight, & being a kiasu mummy, Mummy has a lot of hand carry luggage. In it are my medicine, extra clothing, diapers, wet wipes, toys to entertain me....etc.

The lady assists us to the silver kris lounge 1st. We then wait there until it is time for us to board the plane. When it is time, I board the plane & Mummy & I are at the front of the plane where a bassinet is reserved for me. Pretty soon the plane takes off & I take a nap after take off.

When I woke up later, Mummy takes some pictures of me.

Let's see what's on the menu for lunch.

We had a pleasant flight on Singapore Airlines & arrived at Heathrow Airport Terminal 3 at local time 3pm.
