Day 4 at Rotorua (New Zealand)

It's red hot alert day! Why? You ask....it is because we are going to the Waimangu Volcanic Valley. There is a walk about the valley as well as a boat ride at Lake Rotomahana. However, as Mummy is not going to walk about carrying a sack of rice....that's right!! That sack of rice is me!! We are just going for the boat ride at Lake Rotomahana on the Waimangu Voyager (name of the boat). Please click for more information on Waimangu Volcanic Valley. We reach the visitor's centre just in time to pay the admission fee & take the bus to the lake for the boat cruise. The boat goes around Lake Rotomahana. After going around the lake, we alight the boat & take the bus back to the visitor's centre.

We leave & head into Rotorua town center & have lunch at a chinese restaurant. After lunch, we dropped Daddy back to Koura Lodge & Mummy brings me to Kiwi Encounter with Gong Gong & Por Por. We took some pictures with the stuffed kiwi. Then it was off to a kiwi talk & finally into a dark hut where we saw some kiwis. As their eyes are sensitive to light, we are not allowed to take pictures of them.
