Before My Presence was Known

I was told that daddy & mummy had been planning for me for a while. And there were a few times that mummy had thought she was pregnant, she did the home pregnancy test (HPT) using clearblue, only to realize that those were false alarms.

On this day, mummy had run out of HPT and went to buy the twin pack just to stand by. Mummy had some signs that I may have arrived. But because of the few false alarms, mummy decided that she was not going to do any tests until she was very sure that I had arrived.

Mummy had lunch with her friend, Cecilia and after getting the twin pack clearblue HPT, she went home. After mummy got home, she felt very tired and decided to take a nap - I think that must have been one of the signs that I had arrived. Anyway, mummy took a nap on the Osim Isymphonic.

She woke up around 4.30pm and wanted to continue napping as she saw it was still early and daddy wouldn't be back yet. But suddenly, this thought came to her, "Nevermind, let's test again!" That was me, sending a message to mummy!

Despite her tiredness, mummy decide to heed my call and took the clearblue out to test. The test result was positive! As mummy was still half-asleep, she saw the result and threw the clearblue stick into the dustbin in the toilet. After she walked out into the living room, it struck her that the result was positive and to ensure that she did not see wrongly, she went back to the dustbin to see the result again. Indeed, it did not change, it was still positive!

Mummy was really excited and decided to call Aunty Serene. On her phone conversation, with me listening in, I heard mummy say that she didn't want to tell daddy yet until the gynae had confirmed that I am present. She didn't want daddy to get excited for nothing, in case it was a false alarm. I shouted to reassure mummy that I was present, but she couldn't hear me! After that, mummy called Tow Yong Clinic and fixed an appointment on Jan6 to see Dr. Lim Teck Chye.
